An end to BEARDGATE.

Our friends over at The BIG NEWS at TWELVETY (scroll down a bit, The news moves FAST!) have been recently covering the ~"alleged"~ theft of my beard by a Mr. Peter Brien. And when I say alleged, I mean factual. Ms. Tonto can relax her roving reporteringness now, as my facial situation can now officially described as hairy once again. I'd like to thank the communist people of Vietnam for their help. With the inspiration of beardy socialists like Karl Marx, Lenin,Castro, amongst others, this was the perfect place to heal the damage of Mr. Breins hair theft. Included is an artists impression of what you would see if we were allowed to take pictures...

I think I'm turning...

JAPANESE!

Being in Siam Reap, Cambodia has affected Amanda, Emma and Simon is some odd ways, truly. The close proximity to Japanese tourists has caused them to develop "the pose"... All KONICHIWA and ARRIGATO and PEACE signs. Also coyness methinks.

In this photo, Amanda and Emma demonstrate the "lean-in"" as performed by geansai loads of Japanese folk.

The next photo shows Simon performing the "Sassy-Konichiwa"with one leg resting on a pillar suggestively...

Here we see Amanda and Emma playing "Coy" while Simon rocks in the heavy metal version of "Konichiwa"!

Now Amanda and Emma will show the female Konichiwa!

Part 2: Here comes the SUN!!

Ok, the girls had arrived, and right away they had one thing on their minds. BEACHES. With that we packed off to an Island called Koh Sumet for a week of sun shine, and turning pink like lobster.

Here the ladies found exactly what they were looking for. Nice white sand lots of sunshine. They spared not a thought for the locals who would no doubt be blinded by the sun reflecting of their extremely white skin.

I put sunglasses over the camera lens so this picture could be taken. The lady on the left is Coreena, a Donegal Lassie who joined us for our island hop. She is seen here desperately using an a book to save her sight from the blinding white...

Peter and I aren't usually beach people but we decided we'd give it a whirl. Peter took to the water with ease, and I with the grace of a seal. A clubbed seal at that. We found coins in the sand under water at one point, which we decided was pirate treasure! Later it was found out it came from my pockets as I forgot to empty them in my hurry to play in the water...

Peter and I got to stay in this lovely tropical toolshed. It had a little moat around it with a waterfall and everything! We only stayed 2 nights though as it was full of holes for mosquitos to get it. You'll see why this was a problem later...

Amanda having a sleepy night! She kept dropping off and waking up over and over again. I decided I'd give her a shake to wake her up properly.

I got at least half a beaches worth of sand dumped on my head for my troubles. Lesson: let sleeping Amanda's lay!

Coreena was oblivious to the sand fights going on mere feet away. She was too busy dancing like a crazy person!

Peter with a Hero's amount of Tiger Beer. The language barrier led one of his trips to the bar for "A Tiger" with him being presented with "A Thai girl".
What led him to choose beer over a lady? Her mustache was offputting apparently.

Main reason we left the Tropical Toolshed. Trying to set up and/or get under a Mosquisto net after a few drinks is IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

We will be heading to Cambodia in the next few days, to see what we can find. Pictures shall appear as we can manage!

Part 1: The new arrivals.

Hello there People! Its been a busy time recently for us. Our ranks have swelled, with 2 more members of Team Farang joining us. Only one left little potato, and you'll be here soon enough!

Proof at last that Amanda and Emma have joined us safely, despite arriving a day earlier and making us run around Kaoh San road to find them. We had been drinking whiskey for gods sake...

A and E arrived just in time for two days of celebration. The first was Australia day! Here is our friend Steve, a true blood Australian. As such Peter and I spent a lot of time getting our wallets back off him after he stole them. Those convict genes...

Despite the jet lag, A and E were in fine form, becoming honorary Australians for the night. Those are real tattoos by the way. Emma was so angry when she found out she destroyed several surrounding villages.

Witness the best way to calm a rampaging strong woman! Despite her small size she is deceptively heavy and I feared for my match-stick like spine. Soon she was calm again, and ready for the next nights BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!

There was a gathering for our Thai friend Am's birthday! Many of her shops regulars came by to wish her well. Im not telling you her age by the way, she's Thai Mafia and would have me erased.

Here is the glorious cake. It lasted all of 15 seconds before being devoured by the assembled horde.

Some wanted more than there share! Here Canadian Dave got his just desserts for trying to steal an Irish mans cake! Wheee I can hear the groaning readers from over here!

After all this fun it was time to leave Bang Kok and move on to somewhere more relaxing. Find out where in PAAAAAAART TWWOOOOOO!!!
