Happy (late) Xmas, Happy (early) New Year!
Christmas has just passed and I hope everyone had a good time. It was an unusual few days being so far from home, and you at home and the other troops abroad were in our thoughts.
For about ten minutes anyway, then we spent Christmas eve and Christmas day listening to a local band playing Thai folk music. If you ever come to \Thailand, I recommend you order a Chang,or possibly a Mr. Spy for the ladies. We are currently in Ayuthayah. Its Just north of Bang kok, about an hour by train. Its the former capital of Thailand, and has a lot of history to see and hear about.
What you don't get from these pictures is a sense of scale. These Towers are literally HUGE.
Now you see?? Along with the ruins, there are many temples for people to come and pray. Buddhists pray a lot. Much more than us good Christian folk.
This is a photo of one of the biggest temples. Except peter is a jerk so all you see is his big head. Inside is a Statue of Buddha about 15 feet high. The entire statue is covered in gold leaf. No pictures of that though. The monks flipped out and kick a guys head straight off his shoulders for taking out his camcorder.
All the temples have cats. Loads of them. They cats are awesome, because the don't give a fuck about anything. This guy here didn't even open his eyes while I was petting him. A slight flexing of the paw to reveal his claws to tell me when to stop but other than that he just didn't care.
The deep spiritual feelings from the temples are infectious. You leave feeling good about yourself, as this picture shows.EVERYBODY GET HAPPY
Also just in case you are wondering, there's no cracks in Team Adventure just yet. 3 weeks together and Peter and I are still as good friends as ever.

Check you later peeps!
p.s.
For those of you wondering
I am both shocked and honoured!
Yes, I removed the beard because of the heat... I am weak!
