The dead can DANCE

Or can they??

Amy Allen (Rachel) and Sad Ryu (simon), two members of TA went way out west this weekend, to the largest island off the irish coast....Good survival training really. Cold weather and strange exotic locals. Oh and the beaches!!! What some people call rocks, i call very very large grains of sand. Vicious sand that you could cave a mans skull in with should he look at you the wrong way...

As we wondered around the island, I spied in the distance something mysterious... something with potential!!

A PATH THROUGH THE FOLIAGE!

We stumbled on through. It was quite a muddy road. Apparently thats quite normal in this part of the world. So is the grass in the middle. And the lack of tarmac. On we went, until at the end of the "road" we came across an abandoned Franciscan Monastery! How could we ignore this chance to do some proper exploring?

Surely a former house of GOD would be a welcoming place?

A little way in we found the main church building. Here we see the old confessionals. Pretty spooky i think you will agree. More than once i was reminded of the end of the hit hollywood movie The Blair Witch Project. The atmosphere was dented a bit by the fact that the floor was covered in sheep droppings about an inch in depth...
The roof had completely collapsed for the most part, and the walls were crumpling badly. Here you can see that the skeleton of the building is all thats left in parts. We happened across this sinister looking corridor. Rachel decided she had had enough of following, and that it was time to LEAD. Being a beleiver in equal rights I agreed.

Before i could follow, there was a terrible shreek. She came running back down the corridor and out of the building. She didnt stop to tell me what she saw. I was barely able to operate the camera in time to capture the look on her face as she fled. The look of MADNESS.

And so, i was left out side, alone to ponder the events of the day. And ponder I did. Some say, that when the moon is right and the wind blows, you can still hear my pondering being carried on the air to this day....

Want to celebrate or mourn?

Updated: 09/11/05

I'm pretty sure that most of you guys want to mourn the fact that me and Simon will be leaving the country (in one month - GASP!). I'm also pretty sure that some of you may want to celebrate! All this can be achieved at the same time, under one roof.

Ergo, we have decided that Saturday, December 3rd, in the hallowed basement of a certain establishment called Thomas Reids (Reads?!) (on Dame Street), will be the evening to allow you all to either hug us goodbye or tell us how delighted you are that we are leaving, y'know, whichever rocks your cotton socks.

All will be bid welcome, mostly! There may be a pretty heady mix of folk so be warned...

POSSIBLE STRANGER ALERT!

Hopefully we will see all of you who are still in Dublin there! Kudos to Juanine, Poncho Tonto and Locky for their input on where to go, great minds think alike, eh?!
